Summer is gone, here comes the fall.

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Well, summer itself isn’t done, but summer leagues for GRADA are done and they were so intense. You may be asking yourself, “What does this mean?” No. It’s not a double rainbow, it’s fall leagues! If you haven’t noticed it yet, Sunday draft signups are open. Get on over and signup.

If you couldn’t get a bid in for Friday night or Sunday BYOT leagues, go all the way across our site, to our free agents page. For those who don’t know, our free agents page is a place for people to list themselves and hopefully get picked up by a team looking for an extra person.

Updates!

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

Hello all! There are a few new things on the website today.  First of which, are 3 new listings on the tournaments page. These aren’t new tournaments, more just information about Zodiac and Sectionals that are right around the corner.

Next thing is…player pages. If you go to either the player rankings page or any of the team listings from leagues, you’ll see that your name is a link. This link houses your current rankings and past leagues and teams you’ve played with. As this league system matures we’ll start adding the ability to manage co-ed and open teams as well.

Lastly, there is a new page on the leagues page dubbed ‘Free Agents‘. It’s basically a place where people can post about their availability to play in some of the non-draft leagues.

Playoff Saturday – 8/14

Hello GRADA!  Summer League Playoff Saturday is here.  That is, it will be here in two days.  Attached is the master playoff schedule.  Check with your captains and League Coordinators for specific teams and fields.  Intermediate B and Advanced will have games at 10am and 1pm, while Intermediate A and IntA/Rec League will have a combined tournament being organized by Val George.  The four semifinalists in Intermediate A will also play at 11:30 and 2:30.  The annual summer picnic  will start at 4pm.
If you played on an eliminated Int A team or on Rec then show up at 11:15 at Ellison Field R to find out where you’ll be playing.

Int-A Still On

Monday, August 9th, 2010

This is just a note to tell everyone that games ARE still on. Remember that we have a lightning policy for games. If you see lightning, get under/in shelter and wait for 15 minutes. If there is no lightning after 15 minutes, play can resume.

Games Canceled: Wednesday, July 21

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

The fields at Ellison are closed tonight due to ponding and additional storms that are lining up to hit us. As such, all games are canceled.

Games Canceled 6/28

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Games are canceled tonight due to field conditions. Games will continue as scheduled on Monday July 5th.

Update: Due to rising complaints, we’d like to make sure everyone understands why we are so “conservative” about game cancellations.
