Welcome to the new GRADA site!

Welcome, everyone to the new GRADA site.  There are quite a few changes on the site, mostly under the hood, but also visually.  Keep in mind we are in the early stages of transitioning to this new site, so if you run into any issues, please let me know: feedback@grada.org

Anyways, I’ll go ahead and highlight some of the new changes that hopefully everyone will embrace:

We have a new login system for the site.  You must login in order to signup for leagues and as we work more on the site, you can look forward to league alerts, roster management, and a slew of other things customized to your individual setup.

With this new login system, we allow commenting on posts.  This means that if you really like something you see, comment and have a discussion with other users.

We have a new setup for league signup and team management that should make keeping league pages up-to-date easier than it was before.

Some things for the future:

As was previously mentioned, we want to get our league management system to be very robust and allow users to track games, schedules, even personal performance as they progress in leagues.

We also are working on a mobile version of the site as well as SMS (text message) alerts for games and other things.

Last thing, if there is something broke, missing, or if you just want to add some information, please contact us and let us know. The process of getting all the previous content is slow, but we are working to make the site better than ever.

Pickup: 2/6 & 2/7

Alright everyone.  Get out your gloves and warm sportswear, it’s time for pickup.  Today, head on over to 103 Lazy Trail, Penfield, NY at 11 for some pickup with Bill Gray’s afterwards.

Tomorrow, the usual GRADA pickup is in full effect at Cobb’s hill. 11, at Culver Rd. side. (Norton fields as a backup). Stay warm, play pickup!

WART III, Brrrrrrrrrrr

ing your enjoyment of ultimate out for WART II! What ARe we Thinking, indeed.  Bring your hat (required) for the festivities, which include:

• 3-4 games of ultimate
• all the s’mores you can eat
• and all the hot cocoa you can drink

We now officially have a Facebook group! I noticed that we had one specifically for Youth, but none for GRADA itself. So, join the Facebook group!

2010 GRADA Board and Directors

Wow.  It’s been a while since there has been activity on this site and that’s all about to change.  First, I’d like to apologize for the neglect.  This year we will try to be more active on the site with updates, league info, fun stuff and whatever else people want to see here.

Now, on to the important stuff, this year’s board.  We have six (6) people who are staying on the board from last year: Scott Franklin, Dan Bell, Skip Newell, Mike Ray, Doug Singer and Steve Lacagnina. As for the new members to the board: Valerie George, Christine Purtell and Josh Nellist.
